KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PSER Tilt-Head Stand Mixer – Consumer Report of KitchenAid Mixer

Whether you like to bake every day, or just for birthdays and holidays, a good stand mixer is one of the most essential appliances for your kitchen. Here we review a classic: the KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PSER Tilt-Head Stand Mixer. This KitchenAid Mixer is undoubtedly the most beautiful on the market! It feels modern and retro at the same time. With 53 colors to choose from, there’s something to suit everyone’s taste. But is it more than a pretty face? Short answer: we think it is still the best mixer you can get for its performance and price. Read on to find out why! And remember: we only recommend products that we have personally tested in our recipes.

KitchenAid Artisan - Product Review We used this mixer to make our Easy Pineapple CakeSoft and Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Easy Upside Down Apple Cake.

It worked like a dream. The worst thing for cakes and breads is a clumpy dough. Anyway, you will never have that problem with the KitchenAid stand mixer. As you can see in our video, it made a smooth batter without lumps. We love the generous five-quart mixing bowl: that’s good for four normal-sized cakes. With volume like that, you can bake for a whole party! It is a powerful mixer, but it still manages to be quiet and efficient. Cheaper stand mixers can roll and bang on your counter, but with the KitchenAid stand mixer, you’ll hardly know it’s running. And when you turn it off, the top tips back so that you can easily access the bowl.

KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PSER Technical Specifications

KitchenAid Artisan - Testimonials The KitchenAid Artisan mixer has ten speeds and comes with three attachments: a flat beater, a dough hook and a wire whip. Whether we are whipping cream, mixing up a moist and delicious cake, or baking a crusty loaf, the KitchenAid stand mixer is our go-to gadget. And there are up to fifteen additional attachments that you can purchase if you want to get even more creative. It’s super versatile: as well as making perfect breads and cakes, it has an attachment to make pasta and a meat grinder. That means you can try fun things like making your own sausages or grinding beef for homemade spaghetti bolognese and lasagnas. We love to impress our friends with our latest creations. It can also take care of simple tasks like grating cheese and making breadcrumbs. Once you’ve tried it, you won’t know what you ever did without it!

KitchenAid appliances are renowned for their sturdiness and longevity. We know people who have had their KitchenAid mixer for decades; if you buy this product, you can expect it to last a long time. Some people have raised concerns about whether they are built the way they used to be. KitchenAid was once owned by Hobart, but now it is in the hands of Whirlpool. In our opinion, the KitchenAid still justifies its reputation for sturdiness, especially if you are just a home baker.

What Is the Best Stand Mixer?

We love using this mixer for cakes and the occasional loaf. If you’re a big bread baker, you might want to look for an even more powerful model, such as the KitchenAid KP26M1XNP Professional 600 Series. But KitchenAid Professional 600 is substantially more expensive than the KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PSER. Unless you’re a huge bread maker, we think the cheaper model will have everything you need. The best Stand Mixer is not always Professional. The correct answer is: “It depends”. Anyway, KitchenAid Professional 600 is our choice # 1 for the mass production baking.

Those of you who are turned off by the price, but still want a comparable appliance, might want to consider the Hamilton Beach Mixer. It comes in a bit cheaper than the KitchenAid, but its mixing bowl is half a quart smaller (4.5 quarts). Anyway, there is a trade-off as you lose a bit of power. We don’t think Hamilton Beach Mixer is quite as good value as the KitchenAid Artisan, which is built to last. Also, it just doesn’t have the KitchenAid Artisan’s style!

Overall, the KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PSER Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is still our favorite stand mixer, and if you want to take your baking to the next level it certainly justifies the price tag. We plan to use ours for years. Test it out and see why it’s still our number one stand mixer! You won’t be disappointed.
