All in all, it takes only 30 minutes from start to finish including 4 minutes of pressure cooking. Don’t forget to add liquid (in our case sweet white wine – Martini Blanco) and keep an eye on the watch. If you don’t have enough liquid and the liquid is just water, the Instant Pot Salmon will turn out too dry and tasteless. If you cook it for too long, it will look like a rice pudding – shapeless and wobbly. You can check Gordon Ramsay who makes perfect salmon but it is not a pressure cooking version, so it takes longer. Salmon goes well with broccoli, baby potatoes and other steamed vegetables.

  • 1.5 lb salmon
  • 24 oz baby potatoes
  • 3 colored bell peppers
  • 12 oz broccoli
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sweet white wine
  • lemon & herbs seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

  1. Cut the pepper into thin strips.
  2. Cut broccoli into florets.
  3. Place a piece of salmon skin-side down on a foil.
  4. Season fish with salt, pepper, lemon and herbs spices.
  5. Put a small piece of butter (about 1/4 of tbsp) on each salmon piece and wrap it in foil. Make an envelope and leave one side open.
  6. Pour sweet white wine and close the end of the envelope. Martini Bianco is a perfect choice for this recipe.
  7. Add 12 ounces of water into the Inner Pot.
  8. Place the Steamer Basket and fill it with baby potatoes.
  9. Season with salt and black pepper.
  10. Place the salmon on the top.
  11. Close the lid and turn the steam release handle to “Sealing” position.
  12. Select (“Pressure Cook”) program and set Mode Indicator to “More”. Adjust time to 3 minutes.
  13. When time is up, make a quick release. When the lid comes off, take the fish out and set it aside.
  14. Place the broccoli and bell pepper on top of baby potatoes.
  15. Close the lid and turn the steam release handle to “Sealing” position.
  16. Select (“Pressure Cook”) program and set Mode Indicator to “More”. Adjust time to 1 minutes.
  17. When time is up, make a quick release.
  18. Serve Instant Pot Salmon and vegetables while it is hot.
